7 Days to Die coming to Consoles

Bryan is going to love this, in a Press Release today from Tell Tale, we learned the following information. The fun, albeit buggy, zombie horde survival crafting game (What a weird genre, but it’s a popular one) is coming to consoles.

Telltale Publishing today announced that the hit survival horde crafting game 7 Days to Die will release on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One for the first time on June 28th as both a digital and retail product in North America, and digitally in Europe; and will be available on July 1st for the first time at retail in Europe. The recommended retail price is $29.99 USD or equivalent, and the game is currently available for pre-order at GameStop, Best Buy, GAME, and Amazon. 7 Days to Die is published in collaboration with the Dallas-based independent developer, The Fun Pimps.

Set in a brutally unforgiving post-apocalyptic world overrun by the undead, 7 Days to Die is an open-world survival game that is a unique combination of first person shooter, survival horror, tower defense, and role-playing games. It presents combat, crafting, looting, mining, exploration, and character growth, in a way that has seen a rapturous response from fans worldwide, generating hundreds of thousands of hours of community content on YouTube and other streaming video platforms.

Fans of Telltale’s The Walking Dead series in partnership with Skybound will be excited to learn that pre-ordering 7 Days to Die will give them exclusive access to 5 character skins from Telltale’s hit series, including Michonne and Lee Everett.

The console version of 7 Days to Die adds a new multiplayer mode supporting local split-screen for couch play, additional online multiplayer modes and features will be revealed in the coming weeks. The game will be supported by exciting DLC content, with details to be revealed in the near future.

This new interview with 7 Days to Die developers gives insight into what inspired the immensely popular “survival horde crafting game” , as well as what players can expect in the console version.

Watching this, dev interview, it look a LOT different than what I remember. But, it’s looking like it’s doing good now… maybe I’ll re-install it. Hopefully it wasn’t like what Vito and I experienced when they released the big patch late last year.

Like peanut butter and jelly, cookies and cream or peas and carrots of course when you think of your favorite pair ups solitaire and horse racing instantly come to mind. Pocket Card Jockey comes to us from GameFreak and this is one of the most addicting games I have played since Rusty’s Real Deal Slugger. GameFreak is also the same team that has brought us Yoshi for the NES, Drill Dozer and Pokemon. This charming little racer combines solitaire and horse racing in a way that surprisingly makes sense. Players start the game given a horse and are walked through a wordy training stage but do not worry the tip horse that helps out will be less chatty later. Players begin each race at the gate with a quick hand of solitaire to get to one of the START! cards looking to find the 5 gems for the best start.

As you round the track your place and pace are set by how well you do with each hand of solitaire while picking up power-ups on the field to level up your horse.

In the later races a vendor comes and sells products to help you through some of the tougher stretches. She sells everything from goggles and gloves for the jockey to carrots for the horse’s stamina.

I find myself logging in to squeeze in a race to level up my colt or even pop in to the training section for a quick hand.
The music is delightful and keeps you engaged with each turn. Winning feels great and even when the race comes to the final stretch you really feel your enthusiasm
matches with your horse as he goes all out toward the end of the race.

Each of the characters throughout the game so far have been both funny and engaging and even when you get your horse to a certain age you send them out to pasture to
breed. Each horse has his or her own characteristics, for example, my horse likes to race in second place and then take first in the final stretch as a closer. Which
can get nerve wracking! A lot of races end in a dead heat if you do well but when you do poorly in solitaire it reflects in your place when finishing. I have not
gotten a chance to try out any new horses from my pasture but I am looking forward to seeing how they perform with the parent’s characteristics combined.
I wonder if I search the grass enough if I can find a shiny steed.

I highly recommend for any 3DS owner to go out and try out the free demo on the eShop right now since I am having a blast with what I thought was not a game for me. At only a $7.99 price point this game is fantastic and I cannot wait to see what GameFreak has in store next for us on the 3DS

This is a huge update for fans of this game. How huge? We might have to reinstall the game and dick around again. We’ve had a ton of fun in it, but some of these things seem to be completely game changing… Bunny Cannons? Yes please.

Modders remember, most gamers remember. Watch_Dogs was the biggest let down most of us had played. Well those modders I mentioned, have fixed and given us something better than the E3 Preview we saw.

I’m mad at myself (though this was the game that did it), I vowed no more cross platform games on consoles after watch_dogs did this nonsense.

Want to do this yourself with your sad PC version? Check out this forum, they have all the mods used in the video. BUT, be sure you have a beefy system, because holy hell, 4k, lighting, everything looks so damn good.

343 Announces Halo Forge for Windows 10

In what could be the greatest news for all the PC people out there that wished there was a way to create Halo Maps for Halo 5 in the newest version of Forge. We are finally getting our wish.

Forge is going to be on a PC with full mouse and keyboard support, high resolutions up to 4k, being able to bring friends in to test and play the forge maps and….

Letting your console friends play those maps you made on the PC on Xbox One.

However, cross platform play between PC and XBONE are still in the dark. I think they should at least start in on getting Co-op to work. Because I would love to have Halo Nights again with friends on Xbox, without having to go out and buy an XBONE. I suck at FPS games anyway, so I wouldn’t have a huge advantage over controller players anyway. Hell maybe even force me to use a controller for cross platform play.

Is it too much to ask? Look at how much fun Bradley had playing this game on Legendary.

The console purist will whine, the pc master race will whine. I just want to play games with my friends without buying another console.
